Harbor U-Rack design intent

• U-shape form: intended to support two points of frame contact per bicycle for a stable parking concept.
• Single-loop footprint: conceptually efficient for tighter bike-parking zones.
• Steel tube material family: chosen conceptually for outdoor durability, pending supplier confirmation.
• In-ground mount concept: intended for permanent installation along paved paths and building entries.

Conceptually suited to school bike corrals, apartment and condo bike parking areas, and municipal streetscape bike parking. Shown for demonstration of scale and spacing rather than as a confirmed procurement item.

Buyer's guide: planning bike parking

Count bikes, then add space. Estimate how many bicycles you need to park, then lay out racks with room to roll a bike in and lock it on both sides of each loop.

• Placement. Choose a visible spot close to the entrance people actually use, ideally on a hard surface and out of the walking path.
• Mounting. In-ground mount needs concrete footings. Surface-mount versions need a slab thick enough for anchors. Ask the supplier which they offer.
• Confirm with the supplier. Tube size, loop width and height, finish, rack spacing guidance, and anchor hardware.
• Add-ons. Shelters, signage, and a repair station can be quoted together with the racks.
