• Size and weight. Ask for the empty and filled weight. Filled planters are heavy and cannot easily be moved, so place them carefully.
• Drainage. Confirm drain holes, liners, and whether the planter sits on feet or a flat base.
• Surface. Check that the paving beneath can carry the filled weight and drain water away.
• Freight. Large planters ship by freight. Confirm unloading arrangements and whether you need equipment on site.
